a brew and a view

I saw V for Vendetta last night. I was a pretty cool flick, but I liked the theater we watched it in even more.

This place had a full bar in the back of the room with 6 beers on tap, hard stuff, and juices. There was a shelf with little lamps on them where you could put your snacks and drinks during the movie. I loved it. Wouldn't it be cool to take one of liquor licenses Y.A.E.D.A. talks about on their site, get the Austintown movie people together, and have a place downtown where you can grab a brew and watch a cool film?

Drinks and a movie--sounds great!

That is awesome.

Were there seats in this place, or was it just like watching a movie in a bar?

Movies aren't targeted at adults anymore, though, so while this would be a cool idea for Youngstown, I doubt a theater such as this would bring in much revenue. This doesn't seem like a "kid-friendly" environment, at least not in the U.S.

For what it's worth, I'd go to a theater like that.

Our plan is to do drinks, food, and a movie in two theatre spaces in the balcony of the Liberty/Paramount Theatre downtown. The big stage will be preserved and used for live music, theatre and other events. We will have a major announcement in a few weeks. Check out: www.lptheatre.com.
